Project description:
WeldWell is a solution designed to transform spot welding into a data-driven process, eliminating the uncertainty and dependence on manual adjustments that limit efficiency, quality, and production stability. The project is especially aimed at the automotive industry, where spot welding is critical in manufacturing lines and where process variability can lead to defects, rework, downtime, unnecessary energy consumption, and quality-related costs. The solution is intended to act directly on the real production process on the factory floor, rather than relying solely on simulations or partial controls.
Solution & technologies:
WeldWell integrates three technological layers: a proprietary high-precision measurement system to generate reliable shop-floor data; an optimization engine based on artificial intelligence trained with real production data; and a continuous control layer that detects deviations before they result in defects. The system combines hardware and software to capture data, learn from the actual behavior of the process, and adjust welding parameters. Its approach makes it possible to improve weld quality, stabilize production, reduce operational costs, and optimize energy consumption.
