PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project aims to implement direct liquid cooling systems in electric mobility, improving both energy efficiency and thermal management, avoiding the appearance of hot spots and extending the useful life and reliability of the equipment. Possible areas of implementation are vehicle electronics, battery cooling and electric chargers.
Solution & technologies
UniSCool has patented a direct liquid cooling system, based on a self-adaptive heat sink, capable of efficiently adapting local heat extraction to variable heat flows. This allows for energy savings of up to 70% compared to current solutions.
Contributed innovation
The innovative system offers a high heat extraction capacity (300 W/cm2) and great temperature uniformity, increasing efficiency and extending the life of components in electric mobility.
