PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Tembo is a logistics automation system based on an autonomous mobile robot (AMR), specifically designed for the automatic picking and delivery of pallets directly from the ground, without the need for ramps or auxiliary elements.
It is the first mouse-type AMR robot capable of handling pallets weighing up to 1,000 kg at ground level, enabling its use in industrial environments such as production plants and warehouses, where space is shared by people and machinery.
The system eliminates the need for physical barriers or static structures, favouring more flexible and dynamic layouts, optimizing material flow and improving operational efficiency.

SOLUTION AND TECHNOLOGIES

Tembo MTS is a logistics automation system based on a mouse-type autonomous mobile robot (AMR), specifically designed for picking and transporting pallets directly from the ground, without the need for additional infrastructure such as physical guides or static elements.
The robot is capable of handling loads of up to 1,000 kg, adapting to the demands of industrial environments with heavy material movements. Its autonomous navigation system allows it to move safely in shared environments with operators and other vehicles, as it features advanced sensors and machine vision cameras that detect obstacles and ensure precision during pallet picking and placement manoeuvres.
The solution is completed with a fleet management and control platform, which allows the operation of multiple robots to be coordinated and monitored in real time, optimizing movements and ensuring that internal transport tasks are performed smoothly and efficiently.

Innovación aportada

The Tembo MTS project represents a significant advance in the automation of logistics processes by automating the collection and delivery of pallets directly from the ground, eliminating the need for fixed infrastructure such as guides, rails, or lifting platforms.
This capability reduces operating costs and simplifies implementation, as it allows the system to quickly adapt to changes in the plant layout or evolving production needs, contributing to the creation of more flexible and versatile work environments.

Another innovative aspect is its ability to handle loads of up to 1,000 kg, a rare feature in mouse-type AMR robots, which positions it as a pioneering solution for the automation of large-volume internal transport in diverse industrial sectors.
The robot’s collaborative design, along with its obstacle detection and autonomous navigation system, allows for safe integration into environments where operators and other industrial vehicles coexist, promoting automation without compromising workplace safety.
Finally, the ability to coordinate multiple robots through a fleet management system optimizes the flow of materials in warehouses and production lines, reducing wait times and increasing logistical efficiency.
Thanks to this combination of flexible automation, large-load handling, and collaborative operation, Tembo MTS is positioned as an innovative and adaptable solution, ideal for optimizing internal pallet transport in industrial plants and warehouses, promoting the transformation toward more efficient and safer production environments.
