PROJECT DESCRIPTION

SVH —Smart Visual Hybrid— combines extended reality and artificial intelligence to assist industrial operators in automotive manufacturing. The platform connects a mixed reality headset worn by the operator with a local AI server, without cloud dependency and with full data sovereignty. It addresses challenges such as training, workstation verification, assembly errors, reliance on senior instructors, and access to plant information. Its approach enables operators to receive instructions, validations, alerts, or operational data directly within their real environment, where fixed camera systems or tablets cannot reach.

SOLUTION & TECHNOLOGIES

SVH brings together three modules within a single platform: Training XR, for immersive training with step-by-step guides, interaction with real and virtual objects, and automatic sequence validation; Intelligent Assistance and Inspection (ARI), with real-time computer vision to detect tools, parts, assemblies, and relevant workstation elements, and to verify the workstation before starting a shift; and Immersive Space, to overlay sensor data and machine status onto the real environment. It is based on consumer XR headsets (such as the Meta Quest 3) using the open OpenXR standard —without dependence on a single manufacturer—, an XR application, a local inference server, real-time streaming, Unity, AI integration, and client-customizable vision models with fast adaptation to new parts

SVH innovates by combining XR training, intelligent assistance, and immersive monitoring into a single low-cost, locally processed deployment. Compared to enterprise solutions based on expensive hardware and high licensing fees, it offers an accessible alternative for industry —from SMEs to OEMs— with a significantly lower entry cost, edge-first architecture, and rapid adaptation to new parts. Its key differentiator is providing real-time intelligent detection, data sovereignty, and three industrial services on the same infrastructure, with multi-device portability that protects the customer’s investment against changes in the XR ecosystem.
