PROJECT DESCRIPTION
EMG-IIOT (Elements Manufactured for LivinG Industrial IoT) is a project that combines precision manufacturing with new technologies to support factories in their digital transformation, paving the way for Industry 4.0. The project’s objective is to create a layer of “living” elements that can be integrated into specific processes in the manufacturing or logistics chain, equipping the factory with sensors that provide real-time information on various critical parameters.
These elements are designed to be born with precision sensing, allowing the capture of values such as humidity, temperature, acceleration, motion, vibration, weight, lighting, and distance. These sensors are plug and play, facilitating their integration into machines, robots, processes, or elements of the industrial plant. The information collected enables both real-time decision-making and data storage for later analysis, opening the door to solutions based on IIoT, Big Data, cloud control, plant virtualization, and artificial intelligence.
SOLUTION AND TECHNOLOGIES
EMG-IIOT offers a comprehensive solution based on the creation of precision sensor components that are easily integrated into industrial processes. These elements enable real-time data capture and transmission, providing a complete view of the plant’s status and operations.
The solution is based on technologies such as the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Big Data, cloud-based control, and plant virtualization, which enable not only real-time monitoring but also predictive analytics and process optimization. The system is designed to be scalable and adaptable to different industrial environments, facilitating the transition to a smart factory.
Contributed innovation
EMG-IIOT’s innovation lies in the creation of a layer of precision-manufactured “living” elements equipped with specific sensors, capable of extracting real-time digital information directly from industrial processes. This solution enables:
• Real-time decision-making based on precise data collected by sensors embedded in custom-made physical elements.
• Digitization of analog processes, transforming the way factories manage and analyze operational information.
• Optimization of plant performance through the use of advanced technologies such as IIoT, Big Data, and AI, facilitating automation and intelligent process control.
With these capabilities, EMG-IIOT not only improves operational efficiency but also drives the digital transformation of factories, facilitating the adoption of Industry 4.0.
