PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Data Analytics focuses on the acquisition and analysis of end-of-life electric vehicle batteries. The main objective is to assess the condition of these batteries to determine their recoverability. Those that can be reused are used for home electrical storage systems, while those that do not meet recovery criteria are sent to recycling processes.
The project also includes the comprehensive collection of data on battery usage and performance, both during their useful life in vehicles and during their second life in domestic applications. This information, once transformed and analyzed, provides valuable knowledge for manufacturers, helping them improve the quality of their products and optimize the costs associated with battery manufacturing and Management.
SOLUTION AND TECHNOLOGIES
The solution is based on the implementation of Data Analytics and Machine Learning technologies to analyze data collected throughout the battery lifecycle. This data allows for identifying usage patterns, assessing battery health, and predicting their performance in second-life applications.
Furthermore, continuous analysis of batteries in use facilitates the development of predictive models that help optimize the design and manufacturing of future generations of batteries, improving both their efficiency and durability.
Contributed innovation
The project’s main innovation lies in the application of Data Analytics and Machine Learning to the quality control and improvement process in the manufacturing of electric vehicle batteries. By transforming data into useful knowledge, Little Electric Energy not only optimizes the reuse of batteries for home storage but also provides manufacturers with a powerful tool to improve the design and efficiency of their products.
This approach significantly contributes to the circular economy by extending battery life and reducing the need for new materials, promoting a more sustainable model in the automotive and energy storage industries.
