The Business Factory Auto accelerator (BFA) has been chosen as a regional partner in the next edition of the StartUp Europe Awards, organized by the European Commission and the Finnova Foundation, with the aim of stimulating open innovation and projecting in Europe startups and companies from different regions.
The BFA is the first regional representative of Europe linked to the automotive industry that participates in these awards, making itself public on the occasion of the European Week of the Committee of the Regions.
The BFA will be responsible for choosing the best startups in Galicia that will compete for the prize for the best startup in Spain. It will also present a special prize of 5,000 euros for training, with which the winning companies can learn about European funds to support entrepreneurs.
The categories that will choose this award are Energy, IoT, Smart Cities, Climate, Social and Cybersecurity. The BFA Executive Committee will be responsible for choosing the best projects in each category.
With this initiative, the BFA intends to support the participating projects in their international projection. 30% of the participating companies in their first two editions already export to other countries.
